The genesis of Linea Negra Maternity came out of our own experiences while being pregnant in Hong Kong. We all shared the same feelings of shock, frustration and unhappiness with the selection of clothing that was then available to us. The good news is that now, things are different.
What they told us…
Pregnancy is only for a short period of time. False. It is for almost 10 months. If you add the time that it takes to get back into shape, especially if this is not your first pregnancy, you are easily looking at 1 to 2 years! We have handpicked maternity lines that look just like your normal non-maternity clothing which can be worn during and after your pregnancy and still maintain your pre-pregnancy style.
Larger sizes are an option. False. Unless your plan is to put on weight everywhere, most healthy active pregnant woman only need clothing adjustments in specific areas. Larger sized clothing is larger everywhere and makes you look bigger and shorter than you really are. Our properly sized maternity clothing with accommodations for your growing belly will make you look and feel good.
What we did about it…
We discarded the idea of succumbing to sailor costumes, bow tie dresses and borrowed shirts from our husbands’ closets. We went out and collected a fabulous range of modern, stylish, fun and fantastic looking clothing that allows you to be YOU, to enjoy your pregnancy to the fullest and be admired by your non-pregnant friends. If you have never worn frumpy clothing ever in your life, why would and should you now at this wondrous moment of your life when there is a choice of being a beautiful pregnant woman? |
